LocalBellingham uses first-party, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are useful and to measure local sponsorship performance.
What our site analytics count
We count page views, approximate browser sessions, broad traffic-source categories, referring domains, coarse device class and simple time-on-page buckets. Sponsorship reporting counts ad impressions and clicks.
What our analytics do not store
Our custom analytics do not store names, email addresses, cookies, persistent visitor IDs, precise location, raw IP addresses or cross-site browsing histories. We do not use this system to follow a person from one Local Network site to another.
How long data stays detailed
Anonymous page events are rolled into daily totals. Long-term reporting uses aggregate counts rather than individual visitor histories.
Newsletter and forms
If you voluntarily join a newsletter or contact us, the information you submit is handled separately from anonymous site analytics and is used for the purpose you requested.
Your browser privacy signals
Our custom analytics does not run when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals that we can detect.
Infrastructure
Like nearly every hosted website, our hosting and security providers may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site. That infrastructure processing is separate from the custom aggregate analytics described above.
